VIRGINIA LEE CREELEY
“CALLS FAR WOMAN”
September 22, 1957 – June 3, 2014
After a courageous battle with cancer, our beloved sister, mother, grandmother and aunt, went home to be with the Creator. Virginia was loved by so many and we will miss hearing her voice, her laughter, seeing her beautiful smile and her wonderful sense of humour. She leaves to mourn her passing, son Tyson Creeley (Norris); parents, John and Nora Stonechild; grandchildren, Tyrine Desnomie-Creeley, Dymond and Tyson Jr. Creeley and Tyanne Pasqua-Creeley; sisters, Maggie Gordon, Linda Creeley (Floyd), Judy Appell, Lily Creeley (Tai), Lisa (Bill) Amey, Morningstar Stonechild, Shelby Stonechild (Larry), Christine (Gabe) Bergman and Song Girl Reyes; brothers, Richard Stonechild (Donna) and John Stonechild; special nieces, Amber Ly, Delia Delorme, Kim Dubois, Barbara Stonechild, Snow Dove Stonechild, Shantel McNabb, Cheryl Campeau and Nina Seguin; nephews, Terrell Creeley, Brandon Ly, Howard Creeley, Cory Gabrielli, Mark Reyes, Trevor McNabb and Robert McNabb; as well as other relatives too numerous to mention. Virginia was predeceased by her grandparents, Leonard and Lily Creeley; mother Mary Anne Creeley; sister Margaret McNabb; nephews, Wayne Creeley and Nolan McNabb. A Traditional Wake will be held in the Okanese Learning Centre, Okanese First Nation on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service at the same location on Saturday June 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Elder John Stonechild officiating. Virginia’s final resting place will be in the West End Cemetery.
