Obituary of Joseph Frank Zerr

JOSEPH FRANK ZERR It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband and father, Joseph Frank Zerr, aged 87, on Thursday, June 5, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Frances, and his son Michael (1995). Joe is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Agnes; and three daughters, Susan (Ron Wight) Zerr, Kathy (Farley) Fahey and Jody (Pete) Lefebvre; his daughter-in-law Cecilia MacIsaac Zerr; as well as grandchildren, Cassidy (Darren Borley) Zerr, Taryn and Taylor Fahey, Joshua and Dylan Lefebvre, and Jeffrey and Carly Zerr; and great-grandchildren Jayda and Joe. He was born in Regina, SK on November 19, 1926. Joe grew up in Prelate and Regina and attended Balfour Collegiate where he began his training as a journeyman electrician. Joe continued his education and training to obtain his second journeyman certificate in instrumentation. He spent most of his career at the Co-operative Refinery and after 38 years, he retired in 1990. Joe and Agnes were married in 1953 and had four children. He loved to golf, bowl, read and doing crossword puzzles. Joe also loved family picnics, camping, Big Band music and his favourite ice cream. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. A private interment will follow. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Pasqua Hospital in Emergency, Unit 4A and the Palliative Care unit.
