Obituary of Christiana Malainy

CHRISTIANA MALAINY 1923 - 2014 Christiana passed away on May 30, 2014. Born in 1923 in Goodeve, SK, she was predeceased by her father George and mother Annie; sisters, Nell (Melanie) and Margaret Ann. Christiana spent most of her earlier years in Regina, SK then moved to Calgary in 1978 to be with her sisters Melanie and Margaret. There, Christiana spent many happy years with her family. Margaret’s daughters, Lisa (James) Wowchuk and Jackie Bell (Terry Firth); along with Lisa and James’ children, her great niece and nephew, Melanie and Christopher Wowchuk. They were the love of her life. Melanie and Christopher lovingly cared for Auntie Chris in her last days of life. They had a bond that could never be broken. Melanie and Chris will miss you dearly Auntie Chris. Auntie Chris also had a love for Lisa and Jackie’s dogs, Lucky, Bella, Molly, Chiclet. Molly and Chiclet also passed this year and will be waiting for Auntie Chris up in heaven. We would like to thank Sister Hellen Campell of Sacred Heart Convent in Calgary, AB for being a loving friend to Auntie Chris for years, and for all the special prayers. A Funeral Service was held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
