Obituary of Elsie Blanche Johnston

ELSIE BLANCHE JOHNSTON June 4, 1919 – May 27, 2014 Blanche passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Gladys Slater; her husband Arnold Johnston of Kisbey; brother Roland Slater; and sisters, Mary Slater, Audrey Whitfield and Gladys Slater. Blanche is survived by her brother Donald (Jacque) Slater of Calgary, AB; son Stuart Armstrong of Pemberton, BC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and was lovingly referred to by all as “Auntie Blanche”. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, 2161 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. George’s Cemetery, Pilot Butte, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Blanche, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8.
