I got to know Dave when I worked at the downtown gas station, and then moved to an office job. We frequently shared a smoke (until I quit) and a conversation. He was so kind and considerate at all times and always shared what he had. I've missed, and will continue to miss, seeing him on Scarth. Rest well, friend.

I never personally knew Bonger but I can't tell you how many times he brought a smile to my face when he would call The Wolf. I had asked about him a couple of days before he died because I missed hearing him on the radio. Dude. Rock and Roll heaven is gonna be so banging. Say hi to Jimmy and Janis for me!

Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of sorrow. Was always a lot of fun hearing your Dad on the radio. I only wish that I would have been able to meet him and share some of the discussions of music.

Dave and I first became friends over a decade ago when I worked downtown. I was a heavy smoker and he would often join me outside on my breaks. At first, we bonded over music because he had amazing taste. But, as I got to know him better, I found that he was immensely kind, wise and deeply caring. He taught me an immense amount and I am very lucky to have known him for as long as I did.
I am very sad to hear about Dave's passing. And, while I hope he has found peace, I would give anything to sit down and have one more conversation with him.

Like so many others, we never met, but I always cheered up when I heard you on the radio and made a lot of hard times so much better with your spirit.
You will be truly missed
