Obituary of Bernard Joseph Menssa

BERNARD “BARNEY” JOSEPH MENSSA February 23, 1923 – June 24, 2014 Barney Menssa, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Madeline; brothers, Valentine (Louise), Joe (Pauline), and Mike; sisters, Julia Ell, Elizabeth Menssa, Clara (Leo) Fahlman and Rose (Bert) Seitz; and brothers-in-law, Paul Sperling and John Shuman. Barney will be remembered by his sisters, Anna Marie Sperling and Kay Shuman; brother-in-law Peter Ell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Barney was always content with his life, never asking for more. The family would like to thank the staff of Extendicare Parkside for the loving care they gave to Barney. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barney’s memory, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 - 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8.
