Obituary of Irma Rose Yackle

IRMA ROSE YACKLE April 5, 1920 July 21, 2012 Irma Rose Yackle (nee Leippi) passed away peacefully with family at her side on July 21, 2012 at Santa Maria Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her loving husband Albert in 1974; as well as her parents Fred and Pauline Leippi; brothers William, Alfred, Gottlieb and Otto; sisters-in-law Millie, Margaret and Ida; and sisters-in-law Martha (Andrew Wingert) and Alice (Clyde Eller). Irma is survived by her four children Walter (Tommie) Yackle of Edmonton and their children Tim Meitz and his children Eric and Jason of Lloydminster, AB; Phil and Dawn Meitz, and their children Ariel and Logan of Hamilton ON; Beth and Jeff Heard and their children JD and Andy of Morinville, AB; Daughter Dorothy (Don)Miller of Regina and their children Jody and Heidi of Regina, Scott (Megan) and their daughter Piper Rose Miller of Turner Valley, AB., son Larry (Brenda) Yackle of Calgary, AB, and their children Alanna and Kevin of Calgary, AB; son, Ken (Joy Hubelit) Yackle, Kens daughter Jessica Yackle, Susanne Bell, mother of Jessica and Ken & Joys extended family Kyla (Shaun) Marchant and children Zoe and Kiera of Ottawa ON; Robyn (James) McDonnell and their children Jack and Henry of Regina. Irma is survived by her sister-in-law Gertie Leippi and numerous nieces and nephews. Irma and Albert were married December 25, 1945 and farmed in the Arbuthnot, SK area until Alberts untimely passing at age 52 in 1974. Irma and Ken moved to Regina in 1975 where she worked part time for Sears until her retirement. Irma enjoyed curling, bowling, shuffleboard, playing cards, knitting and crocheting and of course socializing with family and friends. Her Christian faith was very important to her. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to staff and caregivers of Parkside and Santa Maria Nursing Homes for the excellent care and compassion extended to Irma in the past two years. Funeral Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Tank officiating. A private family interment will be held at St. Boswells, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irmas memory can be made to a charity of choice.
