Obituary of Bertha Janet Nichols

BERTHA JANET NICHOLS October 24, 1915 January 26, 2013 Bert passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Charlie (2005); her son, Ken (2011); parents Catherine (nee Boak, 1976) and William Gould (1946); as well as numerous brothers and sisters as she was the 9th of 12 children. Bert is survived by daughter-in-law Bonnie Nichols (nee Callander); four granddaughters, Pamela (Cory) Gelsinger, Kristin (Christopher) Matravolgyi, Megan (Kyle) Fairbairn and Whitney (Justin) Beug, all of Regina; three great-grandchildren, Belle, Mason and Kherington; her only surviving sibling, a sister, Isabel Carroll of Selkirk, MB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bert was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a true friend, and a kind and generous person. Bert will be dearly missed by family and friends. A Celebration of Berts Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Darrell Reine officiating.
