Obituary of Molly Ermel

MOLLY ERMEL March 21, 1910 July 31, 2012 On the morning of Tuesday, July 31, 2012, Molly passed over to be with all those who have gone before her. These include her husband Dan in 1993; her parents Jacob and Catherine Ring; her siblings Carl, Johnnie, Rudy, Phillip, Otto and Bertha; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Molly was born in Southey, SK on March 21, 1910. Yes, she had 102 years on this earth. She was blessed with a sharp mind and wonderful wit that she maintained until her final days when her body grew weary of living but her spirit remained alive. When Molly and Dan married, they farmed in Lumsden and then moved to Regina where they owned a store, farmed and Dan worked for the City of Regina for many years. Molly had no children but she became the mother to many. Molly and Dan had many people stay with them, sometimes for years. Their door was always open to all as they both were very generous and hospitable. Molly was a tremendous cook and baker, and as a result, fed many in her lifetime. She was also a woman of great faith. She and Dan became members of Grace Lutheran Church in 1930. Molly was involved in her church in any way she could all her life. In 1987 they moved into Grace Lutheran apartments and she resided there until October 2009. She is remembered with much love and appreciation by her niece Pat (Bob) Hornsberger and family Rob (Angie) and their sons Brandon and Zachery; Catherine (Oscar); and William (Jenna) and their daughter Braeya; nephew Dwayne Ring of Penticton BC and his son Nathan (Lauren) and their family Laikyn, Patrick, Emma Kate and Cullen of Phoenix, Arizona. She also had many special people from Dans side of the family who she was very fond of and were very kind to her. Molly was grateful for her family who looked after her in her final years, as well as Dr. Bester, who was so kind to her and all her pastors, especially Rev. Jeremy Swem who provided her with spiritual; guidance. A Celebration of Mollys Life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1037 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeremy Swem officiating.
