anupa Wy - Pipe Woman OLIVE LILLIAN GORDON (nee KENNEDY) 1919-11-20 to 2012-8-4 anupa Wy, Olive Lillian Gordon went home to The Creator on August 4, 2012. Olive Lillian Gordon Pipe Woman? is the daughter of Ochungugahe Dan Kennedy, Sr. and Olympe Kennedy of the Carry the Kettle First Nation. anupa Wy is the last of the Dan Kennedy, Sr. family and The Long Line of the Pipe of Chiefs.? Olive, anupa Wy, and her siblings are direct descendents of this line. Granny Runs After Iron Pipe? of Oswego, Montana, Fort Peck Reservation bestowed the name anupa Wy Pipe Woman? upon Olive as an infant. Pipe Woman, anupa Wy, understood the importance of her blood line and always remained close to The Creator carrying out her responsibilities with sincerity, dignity and respect with a deep belief and reverence in The Creator and all of His Creation. anupa Wy was born on Assiniboine Reserve, Montmartre SK, November 20, 1919 and lived her childhood and youth on that reserve which later became the Carry the Kettle First Nation until she married Walter Gordon, Sr. of Pasqua First Nation. anupa Wy was the second youngest child of Dan Kennedy, Sr. and Olympe Kennedy, and was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Joseph Daniel (Diney) Kennedy and Gordon Kennedy, and her sisters, Lena Eashappie, Annie Eashappie, Cora Gray and Isabelle Prettyshield. anupa Wy was also predeceased by her husband, Walter Richard Gordon, Sr., and two sons, Walter Ronald Gordon, Jr. and Conrad James Gordon, Sr., anupa Wy is survived by her children, Glen Gordon, Anita Gordon-Murdock, Bernard Gordon, Sharon (Gordon) Hohmann, Brian Gordon, Conrad C. Gordon, Jr. (CC grandson and adopted son) and Marsha Gordon; daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Wake will be held at Carry the Kettle First Nation Band Hall Gymnasium at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Traditional Service will be held at Carry the Kettle First Nation Band Hall Gymnasium at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Interment Carry the Kettle First Nation South Cemetery.
