Obituary of Olga Katherine Hume

OLGA HUME On Sunday, August 5, 2012 Olga Katherine Hume passed away at the age of 99 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Bud; parents Paul and Katharina Fahlman; and siblings, John, Beth, and Elsie. Olga is survived by her nephew Paul (Margo) Fahlman; great-nieces, Nicole (Loren) and Katharine Mary (Ross); special great-great twins, Mack and Thalia; nieces, Denise Soroka, Judy Serfas, and Sandra (Jack) Bird; as well as several great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Auntie Olga was born on the family farm at Kronau, SK on March 20, 1913. She attended Sacred Heart Academy and Normal School accepting teaching positions in numerous school districts in Saskatchewan. In the fall of 1942 she began a 36 year career with Employment Insurance, then known as Unemployment Insurance. During that time Olga also received her gold star in ballroom dancing and taught ballroom dance. In retirement she enjoyed traveling and visits with family. We are grateful for the loving care provided by the staff at Precious Memories.
