Obituary of Raymond King

RAYMOND KING Raymond Cecil King passed away peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2012 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his parents James Harvey and Hazel (Tomlinson) King; step-mother Marjorie (Hobman); wife June (Stilborn); son Patrick; and sister Margaret. Raymond is loving remembered by his son Richard (Brenda); daughter Marjorie (Reg); brother Jim King; sister Karen (Terry) Bradford; grandchildren Terri, Sarah, Stephen, Curtis, Kelly; and great-grandchildren. Raymond was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force Radar Unit during World War II. He graduated with his Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Saskatchewan and was a surveyor in NWT prior to joining Saskatchewan Power. Ray was a member of Kinsmen, the Legion and on the Board of Directors for St. Johns Ambulance. He enjoyed summers at the cottage, regular fishing trips with his buddies, working on antique cars and curled until age 85. Raymond was a very generous and caring man. The family wishes to thank the staff at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre Veterans Unit 3-6 for their wonderful care. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
