KENNETH HOOPER REESON Our beloved husband, dad, poppa and grand-poppa Ken passed away at the age of 84 years on Sunday, August 12, 2012. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Donna of Regina; his seven children Rick (Katya) Reeson of Edmonton, Holly Reeson, Dave (Janice Campbell) Reeson, Peggy (Terry) Linder, and Sarah (Kevin) Bodnar, all of Regina, Jody (Tom) Rice of Climax, SK and Ken (Paulette) Reeson of Beaumont, AB; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Peter and Matthew Reeson, Marc, Adam and Meghan Reeson, Justin (Jessica) and Grayson Linder, Jarrid Linder, Jordan and Makayla Bodnar, Sharla and Keithan Smith, Bryan (Pam) Taeghan and Declan Rice, and Alexandria and Mackenzie Reeson. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Hugh Gucker of New Westminster BC; cousins, Wendy (Keith) Prior of Regina and Pat Williamson (Rod Graham) of Kincaid SK; as well as many Reeson nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Tom and Betty Reeson; his in-laws Mabel and George Gucker; his brothers Len, Howard and Gordon Reeson; his son John Reeson; and grandsons Andrew Reeson and Tyler Smith. Ken was born on August 1, 1928. He was raised in Regina. Ken enjoyed many happy times at Regina Beach with his family. He was President of Remco Memorials Ltd. for 50 years and remained actively involved in the company as Chairman of the Board until the time of his death. Ken was past president of several monument industry trade organizations including the Monument Builders of North America and the American Institute of Commemorative Art (AICA). Dad believed in the importance of honouring life through the art of memorialization and it was this commitment that saw him win many awards including the prestigious Medallion Award in appreciation of years of dedicated service to the AICA. Visitation will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Knox-Metropolitan United Church, 2340 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Kitchen officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully accepted.
