Obituary of Ruby Evelyn Johnson

RUBY JOHNSON (nee SVEDAHL) November 30, 1939 October 30, 2011 Ruby passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the age of 71 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Ed; parents Iver and Mabel Svedahl; brother Marvin Svedahl; nieces Linden Svedahl and Valerie Svedahl; great-nephew Casey Dunne. Ruby is survived by her children Dwayne Johnson (Jennifer Buchanan), Tracey (Kyle Beaulieu), Gillian, Daniel and Tricia; Dawn (Wes) Eckert, Devin, Nathan (Myranda Nagy) and Ashley (Richard Brady), Deanna (Kelly) Stallard, Matthew and Ryan; great-grandson Kaidin; and numerous very special nieces and nephews. Ruby was born on November 30, 1939 in Bures SK. She worked at Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Dominion Bridge and Westank Willock. Ruby will always be remembered for the great love she showed her family, who will treasure the legacy of her strength and positive attitude. A Celebration of Rubys life will be held at St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina, on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Craig Moeller officiating. Cremation. Interment of ashes will follow in Atwater Cemetery on November 5, 2011.
