Obituary of Evelyn Robertson

EVELYN ROBERTSON (nee EMMS) Surrounded by loving family, Evelyn peacefully lost her battle with cancer on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the age of 83. She was born August 13, 1928 in Mankota, SK. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Charles in January 1982 after 33 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her parents Catherine and Joseph Emms and her brothers George, Clifford and Sidney. Leaving to cherish her memory are her four sons and their families: KENNETH; RUSSELL (Jacqueline), Shannon (Steaphan) Dougall, great grandson Lucas, Andrea (Gaston) Sirois; DOUGLAS (Joyce Ann), Dustan (Denise), great granddaughters Jacynta, and AnaRoza, Reid, and Jordan; and KEITH (Valerie), Seana and Cody, great granddaughter Lylah; brother Herbert and many other relatives and friends. Evelyns life was her family knitting special sweaters and blankets for everyone. She loved hosting card games and enjoyed her friends. She went to Wideview School and farmed in the Southside district. Before Charlies death in 1982 they moved to Mankota and in 2004 she moved to Moose Jaw. In 2011 her failing health brought her to Regina. The Celebration of Evelyns life will be held at the Mankota Agricultural Hall on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment and lunch to follow.
