Obituary of Elsie May Briltz

ELSIE BRILTZ Elsie Briltz passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on November 9, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Elsie was born in Stoughton, Saskatchewan on June 10, 1946. She grew up in Handsworth and graduated from Stoughton High School. Upon graduation she moved to Regina to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. She loved working as a nurse and retired in 2006. Elsie loved to cook, travel and spend time with family and friends. Elsie also enjoyed spending time at the farm that she and Corly worked so hard to develop. Elsie was an inspiration for all that knew her and she will be missed more than words can express. She is predeceased by her parents Edward and Cynthia Perpte; sister Maxine Rotzien; brother Donald Smith; father and mother-in-law Peter and Francis Briltz; and brother-in-law Spencer Briltz. Elsie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Corly; her daughter Cyndi (Robert) Metz; sons David (Sandra), Trent (Vanessa), and Chris (Kristi); grandchildren Jessica, Meghan, Michael, Derek, Raylene, Rhett, Carter, Mitch, Jake, Ava, and Hailey; her sister Doreen (Alec) Gair; sister-in-law Henrietta Smith; brothers-in-law Barry (Margaret) Briltz, and Glen Rotzien; as well as many nieces and nephews. A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1021 McCarthy Blvd. N.
