Obituary of Tom Yip Gin Wong

                                                             June 28, 1928 – May 31, 2017

Tom passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 surrounded by his family at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his parents Charlee and Gee She Wong and his brother Young Wong. Tom is survived by his wife Marian Wong; children Harry (June), William (Cathy), Doug and Perry; four grandchildren Toni, Chase, Rhonda and Hayley. Tom worked at his father’s restaurant until settling on the farm in Lumsden. He was a hard working farmer who loved his work and only retired from the farm when he was forced to do so with health concerns. To this day, he has many friends in the Lumsden farming community. Tom was known as a fair and simple man.  He was generous to his friends and treated everyone the same. Tom provided well for his family and was a wonderful husband and excellent father. Public Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park.
