Obituary of Carole Anne Allen

CAROLE ANNE ALLEN 1944 - 2011 Carole passed away, on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the age of 67. She was predeceased by her father Grant Allen and her special friend Gerald Hawryluk. Carole is survived by her loving daughter Shelley (Jeff) Mohr; granddaughters Taylor and Paige Mohr; her mother Marjorie Allen and sister Gail Gates (Art Perkins) of Nanaimo, BC. Carole was born August 2, 1944 in Northallerton, North Yorkshire England. She came to Canada from England on the Queen Mary in 1946 and spent her childhood in Wilcox, SK. Carole was a display decorator at Sears, and a cake decorator at Dominion. She then went on to two successful years at the University of Regina and began her work at Parkside Extendicare as a Nurses Aide until early retirement due to health issues. Carole enjoyed reading, fishing, camping and being outdoors. She shared a great sense of humour throughout her life with her family and friends and many special times with her sister Gail. Caroles life ended too soon and she will be sadly missed. A private family service will be held at her favorite spot, Trappers Lake, SK at a later date. We have only a memory, dear mother, we cherish our whole life through; but the sweetness will live forever as we treasure the memory of you?.
