Obituary of Brent Hazen Travis

BRENT TRAVIS Brent, of Regina, SK passed away with family by his side on Monday, November 21, 2011, after a very courageous year long battle with cancer. Brent was born on March 24, 1954 and spent his childhood years growing up in Arcola, SK where he had many fond memories of his schoolmates and his activities in hockey, baseball and scouts. Upon graduation he moved to Northern SK where he worked for the Hudson Bay Co and would recall, in later years, some very entertaining stories pertaining to his life at the time and attempting to deal with the frigid cold and long dark days one lives through in that area of the province. He eventually moved to Regina, SK where he attended the University of Regina and took up a career in Sales & Marketing. Brent loved the Coast and spent many relaxing vacations with his partner Marlie on Vancouver Island enjoying the Ocean and brief reprieve from the cold winters in SK. He was a strong man with courage, a warm and loving heart and a faith in his Higher Power. He was loved deeply and will be forever missed by his partner Marlie and her children Kelly, Jon and Michael, extended family, John, Brian and Tanis and many friends through the years in Regina. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, in particular Dr. Jancewicz (and Mary) and the Palliative Care Centre for all the support they provided to us through this period of Brents life.
