Obituary of Alexander Stephens Gray

ALEXANDER STEPHENS GRAY Alex, late of Regina, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at age 84 years. Alex was predeceased by parents, Tom (April 27, 1969) and Clara (August 1, 1950); wife Evelyn; three sisters and six brothers. He is survived by his children: Evelyn Gray (Kevin Schmidt), Bill Gray (Laura Thiele), Randy (Lorie) Gray, and Annette Gray (George Bereti); and step-children: Bob Pile; Dennis Pile and George Pile as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alex is also survived by sisters: Evelyn and Mabel; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law; ex-wife, Laura Goudy Gray and special friend, Heidi Campbell. Alex worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for 29 years and was formerly a cook in the military. A Memorial Reception to celebrate Alex's life will be held at the Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Sunday, November 27 at 2:00 p.m. Those so wishing may make donations in memoriam of Alex to Regina Pioneer Village Ltd., 430 Pioneer Drive, Regina, SK, S4T 6L8.
