Obituary of Hal Kathol

FEBRUARY 23, 1933 – AUGUST 27, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hal on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the age of 84.  He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Francis and Norbert.  He is survived by his wife Fay; children Lorna (Brenda) and Joan (Mark), and grandchildren Erin, Merideth, Jolene, River, Erica, Jeff and Carrie.  He also leaves behind brothers and sisters in Alberta: Terry, Margo, Ed, Len, Rosalind, and Eric.  Hal was born and raised on the family farm in Rockyford, Alberta.  He joined the RCMP in 1952 and retired as a Staff Sergeant Major after 27 years of service.  He treasured his family, enjoyed helping with harvest, and visiting the sick.  Hal had a sense of humour and liked socializing with others.  Memorial Service will be held at the RCMP Chapel on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service.  Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2360 2nd Ave., Regina, SK S4R 1A6.
