Dear Delores and family...I am so sorry to have heard the news about Orest. I sincerely hope all your treasured memories help you through the days ahead. And if this helps in any way, I truly believe our beloved ones are never really gone. Somehow their spirit, the sense of who they were, continues to be reflected in so many area(s) around us. I am so sorry to hear of Orest's sudden passing, shocked in fact. He and I were hoping to have coffee last week on one of my regular visits to Regina. He kindly took a 'rain check' as he was busy. Orest and I began a professional collaboration as colleagues and friends at CUCS in 1987. Even though we both took on different careers and I moved to Saskatoon, we have kept in touch and have even contemplated collaborating recently in our respective consulting practices. I am deeply saddened as I was hoping to hear about his summer at the golf course at Wakaw Lake. Our family stayed near there for 20+ years so we know it well. I guess our collaboration will now have to happen on the other side of eternity. Please accept our condolences. Dave Smith

I am truly heart broken. While we hadn’t spent a lot of time together over the past few years I always considered Orest as a very close friend. The last time we met for coffee we promised to stay in touch more often. I truly regret not making a bigger effort. Orest was one of the biggest influences on both my working and personal life. He was always there to provide a kind word and worthy advice. I will miss him greatly. My deepest sympathies go to Delores, his mother and his entire family. Mike Smith
