Obituary of Keith Samuel Megson

KEITH SAMUEL MEGSON After a courageous battle with cancer Keith passed away peacefully on November 30, 2011 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by his wife Joanne, mother Elizabeth and father Harry. Left to cherish his memory is his son Kelly and wife Diane, granddaughters Mataya and Makena along with granddaughter Patricia and mother Leriza. He was born February 13, 1933 in Moose Jaw, SK. Keith played hockey through the Pats organization and was part of the Regina Monarchs Intermediate A? Western Canadian Championship team. He played in and was involved in the Regina Lions Band throughout the years along with membership in the Elks Club and Teachers Club. Keith coached baseball and hockey where he became a second dad to a number of kids. There was also a career in wrestling after which he became one of the referees at the Regina Auditorium. After retirement from Sask Power in 1993 he enjoyed looking after his house and yard. He was an intensely proud Canadian and Saskatchewanian and a loyal fan of the Roughriders. He was a jovial man and had a large circle of friends. Dad was a great father, father-in-law and Grandpa. It was a job well done Dad! A celebration of life will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday December 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Allan Blair Cancer Center, 204 3775 Pasqua Street, Regina, SK, S4S 6W8 are appreciated.
