Obituary of Rogelio Villanueva Aguilar

Oyong returned to his heavenly home on Monday, October 23, 2017, at the age of 38 years. As a Filipino, his love and devotion to his family and his firm belief in God were his great qualities.

Oyong was born on June 18, 1979 in Urdaneta Pangasinan, Philippines.  He arrived in Regina, Saskatchewan on November 30, 2012 and reunited with his family. He worked at Grekos Restaurant, Saskatchewan Hotel and Holiday Inn Hotel.

He is survived by his wife Jackielynvic of Regina, SK; mother and father, Rosalia Villanueva of Regina, SK and Ceasar Aguilar of  Pangasinan, Philippines; grandmother Adoracion Villanueva of Bulacan, Philippines; one sister Raquel A. (Elmer) Barros of Regina, SK; two brothers, Booney (Dhalia)  Aguilar of Taguig, Philippines and Ryan Villanueva of Regina, SK; two nephews, Denver and Rainiell; three nieces, Rachel May, Denise and Devine and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Canada and the Philippines.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. A Celebration of Oyong’s Life will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Emmanuel Palon officiating. Interment will follow the next day at Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
