Obituary of Margaret Kathleen Milligan

We are profoundly saddened to announce the passing of Margaret Kathleen Milligan (Margie) on Monday, November 20, 2017, at the age of 92. Margie met and married Ken in her hometown of Colchester England during WW2.  When Ken was sent home to Canada with TB, Margie followed on the Queen Mary with their newborn daughter.  Margie was a proud war bride and lived her life to love and support her husband.  After Ken’s recovery, they made their home in Regina, adding a son to make their family complete. Margie was predeceased by her parents and seven siblings in England; her husband Ken in 2011; and her son-in-law Jim and daughter Carole, both in 2017.  She leaves to mourn her son Neil (Andrea); grandchildren Kris (Natasha) and Jessica (John); step-grandchildren Kristen and Kalena; and great-grandson Isaiah. We would like to thank the staff and residents at Victoria Park Care Home for sharing Margie’s life since Ken’s passing, and the staff at RGH for their compassion and care when she needed it most. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina SK on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 1:00 pm, with interment at Riverside Memorial Park to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margie’s memory to the Moose Jaw Humane Society 1755 Stadacona Street W, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 7K7.
