Obituary of Edith Rand Donald

The family wishes to announce Edie’s passing on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the age of 91. Edie was born on August 24, 1926 in Rouleau, SK and is survived by her children Robert (Kimberly and Mark Slann, Kelly and partner Ivan Romero); Nancy Cumbers and partner Rob Cosco (Nick, Andrea and partner Julian Musto and daughter Elle); Scott and Cathy (Camryn and Melissa); Brent and Marilyn (Madison and Alex); sisters-in-law Joan Allen and Rita Allen; several nieces and nephews; and Penny Donald and Murray Cumbers. Edie was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Allen; husband Robert (Bob); brothers John and William Allen; sister Marjorie Haney, her husband William and their two sons. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina, SK on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. A special thanks to the staff of the College Park Retirement Residence and to the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edie’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Unit 26-1738 Quebec Street, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1V9 or to a charity of one’s choice.
