Obituary of Dianne Marie Hennig
DIANNE MARIE HENNIG
Dianne Marie Hennig, wife of Barry Hennig passed away with family by her side on Thursday, December 28, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Barry; children Kent and Heather (Brent); grand-children, Laura, Emily, Evan and Charlene; great-grandchildren, Mattix and Brooklyn; sisters Jean King (Tom), Betty Ann Kudelka (Steve), Cathy Hudy (Greg); brother Gerald Erickson (Karen); numerous nieces and nephews; and God child Jennifer Jans. Dianne was predeceased by her mother Vanett Erickson; stepfather John Erickson; father Alvin Naumann; sister Judy Montague; sister-in-law Joan Kruszelnicki; and brother-in-law Tom King.
Dianne was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan on December 20,1946. She attended school in Brooksby and finished her education at Martin Collegiate in Regina. It was in her last years of High school where she met the love of her life Barry. After high school she attended Phillips Beauty School where she earned her professional hair dressing papers. On June 27, 1964 Dianne and Barry had their big day where they were married at Saint James United Church in Regina. On May 29, 1967 Dianne gave birth to a bouncy baby boy Kent and on July 26, 1969 along came their daughter Heather. Throughout the years Dianne worked at various jobs in the hairdressing field and also as an accounts receivable clerk for transport companies in Regina, In May of 2003 Dianne retired from 23 years of loyal employment from STC, where she went on to part time employment at Central Mechanical.
Dianne’s interests accumulated throughout the year, with the growth of new friendships came new interests; camping, cards, baseball, bowling, fishing, gardening, grandchildren, traveling, swimming with the dolphins, jet skiing, downhill skiing and dancing.
Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Thursday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Dianne’s name to the Palliative Care Unit, Regina Pasqua Hospital, 4-F 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1A5.
