Obituary of Alma Laura Hillis

ALMA LAURA HILLIS (nee MAIER)

Alma, late of Regina, SK, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by husband, Samuel Victor; parents, Adam and Bertha, siblings, Olga, Arthur, Sigmund and Waldemar and son-in-law Dan Fullerton. Alma is lovingly remembered by her son, Bryan (Joanne) and their daughters, Amy, Karla, Erin and Laura; daughter, Margaret Fullerton and her children, Grace and Luke; son, James (Darlene) and their children, Samuel, Benjamin, Gabrielle and Zachary; as well as her brother, Ed (Remona); sisters-in-law, Minnie, Mabel and Janice; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A wonderfully positive, caring and strong person, Alma liked nothing better than having fun with her grandchildren, cheering them on in their sports, music or drama or sharing a joke with her many relatives and friends.  Mom/Grandma/Auntie will be sorely missed; we have been so blessed with her presence for these 95 years. She will remain an inspiration for dignity, integrity, cheerfulness, determination and living in Christian faith.  A Celebration of her life will take place at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1037 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations in memoriam may do so to Luther College (1500 Royal Street, Regina, SK S4T 5A5 or 3737 Wascana Parkway, Regina, SK S4S 0A2) or a charity of their choice.
