Sister Helen was someone that we always fondly thought of. As part of our family, she was known as Sister Helen. It was a special occasion to be able to visit her in Brandon, Manitoba while she was visiting her sister, Phyllis. I also have a fond memory of visiting Sister Helen in Regina. She was very passionate about her tutoring math students. It was amazing to read her Christmas letters and to marvel at how active she was in her retired years! She is a real model for how to live our retirement years! Our condolences go to her family, devoted Sisters and students. May she rest in the peace of the Lord.

I enjoyed her as a teacher. She made math fun! I remember when she was teaching at Miller and she told my brother Rob that I was a smart student. And that drove Rob crazy! She is going to be missed. I think of Revelation 21:4 where Jehovah promises to wipe every tear and death will be no more and neither will be mouring or crying or pain. And it promises that all these things will pass away eventually.

Our deepest sympathy & prayers are with the Sisters of the Mission and all that knew Sister Mary Martin. She was my mother's cousin and I have corresponded with her for many years before actually stopping to meet her in her home (Sister's of the Mission) before she moved to the retirement home. I was fortunate enough to have a visit with her in November and will treasure that forever. I know that she was ready to retire from this world and often would say to me when we talked why the Lord did not take her. My saying to her was that there was not a chair available in Heaven right now for her and she would just laugh and say yes I guess you are right! Rest in peace Sister Mary Martin....our family called her Sister Helen....until we meet again may you have eternal rest. Keeping you in our prayers!
