I would love to refer to him as 'Pa Bob, Robert Slessor', because I wish I was his granddaughter, and he, my grand dad. My grandma talked about him so much, and he obviously was a good man, and I wish I met him.
Sleep on 'Pa', you are greatly missed.

I sincerely apologize for not getting a card or note off to you, about Bob's passing.
I heard about Bob's passing a few weeks ago, now. The problem is I didn't know what
your proper mailing address is. My place of residence is not far from Speers. Thus,
I plan to be there, Saturday afternoon.

Dear Rose and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing and want you to know we are thinking of you. We remember fondly all the times we had the opportunity to get together, mostly at Credit Union dues and just had the greatest time. He is an amazing fun loving man who will be missed. May time ease the pain you are feeling and good memories provide some smiles in the following months.
