Obituary of Ronald Joseph Kerr

KERR, Ronald Joseph

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Joseph Kerr on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Marjorie (Packham) and his brother Ken. Cherishing Ron’s memory is his wife Brenda (Turczyn); and children Amy and Ian (Jennifer). He is survived by his sister Shirley; brother Rick; his siblings’ families and extended family members. Ron loved all aspects of life, but most importantly, there was nothing more he enjoyed than spending time with family and friends. He had a long career as a planner with the Provincial government and was very privileged to receive a Saskatchewan Centennial Medal for his contributions. Ron and Brenda's main focus after retirement was to travel and they were fortunate enough to take many memorable vacations together. However, their bucket list came to an unfortunate end while traveling on their most recent holiday. Ron lived with a chronic lung condition, and tried hard not to let it interfere with the things he wanted to accomplish.  In light of this, his personable nature and positive attitude made him an inspiration to others. Although Ron left us too soon, those who knew him will be left with fond memories of the impact he had on their lives. Celebration of Life will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Should family and friends desire, donations may be made in memory of Ron to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5 (www.sk.lung.ca)
