Obituary of Peggy Stella Hazel Routledge

PEGGY ROUTLEDGE August 4, 1930 December 28, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and friend Peggy. She was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Edith Colbran and her son Iain. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Joseph and her children Joy and Ann (Brent) Albert and granddaughter Krysten. Peggy was born in Virden, MB and shortly thereafter her parents immigrated back to England where she remained until she was 17. Upon her return to Canada she worked as a medical assistant with the Armed Forces where she met and married Joseph. After having her family she completed her education and became a registered nurse which she worked as until her retirement. She was a very outgoing, caring and compassionate woman who was well suited to her profession. Prior to being diagnosed with Alzheimers we used to say you could drop her in a room full of strangers and she could make a friend. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Pioneer Village, 3E, for their compassionate care. Interment will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in loving memory of Peggy, to the Alzheimers Society of SK Inc., 301 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 3X1.
