Obituary of Doris Marie Rockthunder

FEBRUARY 15, 1930 - MAY 7, 2018

On Monday, May 7, 2018 Doris Marie Rockthunder Regina, SK., passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years old with family by her side. She was predeceased by parents William Noname and Mary Jane (Pasqua) Noname; her husband Mike Rockthunder; her daughters, Judy Rockthunder and Darlene Rosebluff; her son-in-law Gerald (Corky) Rosebluff; grandson William Rosebluff; granddaughter Camryn Rockthunder-Slater (Jingles); brothers, Lawrence Noname, Archie Noname; sisters, Jesse Noname (in infancy), Jean (Noname) Thomas, and Lillian-Lottie (Noname) Husak. Doris is survived by her loving children, Carol, Michael (Tammy), Sandra, Frances, Gail, Tim (Myrtle), Lisa (Steve) and Bonnie; special niece and nephew whom Mike and Doris raised, Jaime and Terrance; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great- great grandchildren; and sister Esther Opoonechaw-James Smith FN. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank the ICU Staff Chantel and Tracey, Dr. Zacharias and Dr. Vanderwere and Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital for taking great care of our Mom. Also special thanks to nieces Donna Noname, Lorraine Noname, Diane Kaiswatum and Tyler Kaiswatum for support. Thank You to Chief Jeremy Fourhorns and Council of Piapot First Nation. Wake will be held at Piapot Band Hall, on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the same location, on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Field of Honour, Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
