Obituary of David Sawatzky

SAWATZKY, DAVID

MAY 30, 1928 – JULY 3, 2018

David Sawatzky, late of Swift Current, SK passed away at the age of 90 years in the arms of his loving wife of 28 years, while listening to his favorite polka music by “The Drehers". He was predeceased by his parents; his first wife Sarah; and six siblings. David is survived by wife Susan; sister Alma of Manitoba; daughter Dawn (Michael) of Duncan, B.C.; son Lionel of Calgary; daughter Sheila of Calgary; granddaughter Ariel (Lance) of Calgary; great granddaughter Bailey; great grandson Grayson; and many nieces and nephews. David loved a good game of golf, cards and “get-togethers” with many relatives and friends. David and Susan worked side by side for many years and enjoyed their retirement while wintering in Mesa Az. A Celebration of David’s Life will be announced at a later date.
