MECKLING, Ernest William
Ernest passed away at Extendicare Parkside on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Sophie (Brunner) Meckling; sister Pauline Middleton; brothers-in-law Sam Mills and Rod Norton; uncles, George, Joe, and Frank (Mabel) Brunner; and aunt Mary (Brunner) Chamberlain. Ernest is survived by his devoted wife Jean (Barabas); daughters, Brenda (Curtis) Maier, Carol Anne (Ed) Landgraf, and Susan Meckling; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Our thanks and appreciation to all current and former Parkside Main Wing, Kitchen, and Recreation staff. God bless you all. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia R.C. Church, 5020 7th Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Weckend officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ernest may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301-2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1 or to Saskatchewan Special Olympics Society, 1121 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK S4R 1J5.
