Obituary of Agnes Eveline Greenman

GREENMAN, Agnes Evelyn

The family of Agnes Greenman are saddened by the loss of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Agnes Evelyn Kvisle was born on the farm at home in Wilcox, SK on July 9, 1926. She was the youngest child of Andrew and Mary Kvisle. Mom passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Agnes was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Selma (Ned) Phillips, Edna (George) Dennis, and Inga (George) Greenman; brothers, Edwin Kvisle, Olaf Kvisle, and Melvin (Vera) Kvisle. She is survived by her children, Glenys (John) Fox, Roger (Wanda) Greenman, Lana (Stan) Thorp, Randy (Pat) Greenman, and Debbie (Alfred) Artman; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Agnes began school at Hanson School located several miles south of Wilcox, SK; she later completed her education in Drinkwater, SK. Mom met the love of her life, Herb Greenman, in Drinkwater. Mom and Dad were married on March 7, 1945 in Moose Jaw SK. Dad passed away March 6, 2014. After the passing of Dad, mom spent her final years at Victoria Park Personal Care Centre, where she lived with her family of friends there. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Regina Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit and the staff of Regina Wascana Grace Hospice Centre for their loving care in mom’s final days. We also wish to thank Dr. M. Pole for her care with keeping mom comfortable and her comfort to us as a family. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Agnes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26, Saskatoon SK S7K 1V9 (www.heartandstroke.ca).
