Obituary of Loretta Elaine Bengert

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Bengert on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the age of 97 years old. She was predeceased by her husband Emanuel Bengert in 1977; six sisters Sheila, Noreen, Anna, Kathy, Francis, and Connie; and four brothers Patrick, Donald, Cecil, and Neil. Elaine is survived by her brother Bernard Jordan; step-daughter Lillian Schreiner; step-son Ernie Bengert; as well as many nieces and nephews. Elaine lived at Prairie Place on McIntyre Street, Regina for the last 20 years. She loved her little apartment and all her friends that lived there as well. Thanks to all of Elaine’s friends for looking out for her as she got older. She joked about having an all-night bang on party when she turned 100 years old and then she would be evicted. Elaine didn’t make it to 100 years, but 97 is pretty spectacular. We celebrated Elaine’s life with a memorial at Prairie Place. Elaine’s was laid to rest in Regina Cemetery next to her parents and siblings.
