Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Danaher

MARY ELIZABETH GODFREY DANAHER Mary passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home surrounded by loved ones. Mary was born and raised in Winnipeg, where she met the love of her life, John Robert (Bob) Danaher. They married on April 26, 1947 and throughout their marriage, lived in Halifax, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay and Regina. Golf was Marys lifelong passion and she was a member of the Wascana Country Club in Regina. She enjoyed travelling around the world throughout her life and even more so, she enjoyed Bobs surprise trips to London, England. Mary was an avid bridge player and belonged to several bridge clubs. She had a great appreciation for the arts and was active with the MacKenzie Art Gallery, toured numerous art galleries, museums, and attended many theatre productions throughout her travels. Mary was known for her impeccable sense of style, excellent cooking, spotless home, and her ability to always make everyone feel loved and special in their own unique way. Mary is survived by her four children; Brian Danaher (Monique), Karen Miller (Cecil), Margaret Danaher (Harvey Dorsey), and Mark Danaher (Cheryl), grandchildren; Lesley Parsons (Zac), Robyn Krisher (Taren), Kyle, Danielle, Paul, Dalton, and great-grandchildren; Isaac, Claire, Ashley and Reid. Mary is also survived by her siblings; Kerr Godfrey, Kathryn Spencer and Margaret Mobberley. She was predeceased by her loving parents; Freeman and Charlotte Godfrey. Mary is forever united with Bob who passed away in 1992. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin de Porres Parish, 4720 Castle Road, Regina, SK on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
