Obituary of Eunice Anne Dietrich

DIETRICH, Eunice Anne CCHRA(C), B. Ed., CTR (Ret.) Eunice Dietrich died peacefully with family by her side at the Solace Care Home on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Kurt F. Dietrich, her parents, Richard and Mary Cecilia, her brother, Harry Donnelly, her sister Rose Forsythe and brothers-in-law, James Forsythe, Gerard Fagan and Hans Dietrich (Germany) and nephews Rob and Chris Bonneau. Eunice was born on the Donnelly Homestead Farm, south of Herbert, Sask. and attended school at the Donnellyville School, then the Herbert School. She is survived by her five children: Emily (Doug), Kyle, Todd, and Mark Drever; Marlene (Charles), Brad (Meghan), Derek, Lindsey and Thomas Russell; Bill Dietrich; Julie (Stacy), Allie, Grant, Laura and Heidi Atter; Kurt, Spencer and Sam Dietrich, (Monica OBrien and her daughter, Simone); her siblings, Les (Bernice) Donnelly, Elaine (Del) Hansen, Tom (Liz) Donnelly, Pauline (James) Walters, Frances Fagan, Mervin Bonneau; nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law, Klara Spindler Dietrich, (Germany), and Donna Reid. Eunice started her career in Health Records in the late 1970's at the Pasqua Hospital and then the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic. She also worked for the B.C. Cancer Registry for two years in Vancouver. She took early retirement from the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency and taught at SIAST. Eunice was the only one in Saskatchewan with the CTR [Cancer Tumor Registrar] designation. She took 8 trips to Europe, 3 to Hawaii, 2 Caribbean cruises, and one Australia/New Zealand trip. There were many travels to seven provinces in Canada and to many large American cities. Eunice volunteered at numerous agencies such as the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, schools, the Osteoporosis Society in Regina, the Holy Rosary Cathedral CWL, Stephen Ministry, gave tours of the Cathedral, and had many hobbies, including her wonderful golf trips with family and friends. Prayers will be held at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2140 Garnet Street, Regina, SK on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will held at Holy Rosary Cathedral on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dr. A.
