She enjoyed working there until she was married to Waldemar on Sept 2, 1957 at St Pauls Lutheran Church in Yorkton. Erna transferred to the Regina General Hospital and worked there until 1960 when she became a fulltime mother. Erna lived in Regina for the remainder of her life. She served God faithfully by ministering to the needs of her family, church and friends. Her home was always a place of love and hospitality and especially a haven for many immigrating to Canada.
