Obituary of Frank Bennett Weeks

FRANK BENNETT WEEKS 1913 2012 On Friday, February 10, 2012, Frank Bennett Weeks of Regina, passed away peacefully at the age of 98 years. Frank, son of Frederick and Nora Weeks of a farm near Lloydminster, was born on July 10, 1913. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret and daughter, Arleen Hynd. He is survived by three grandchildren Robert, Kevin and David, and great grandchildren Ava, Keira, Nadia and Savanna. Frank grew up on the farm before leaving to join the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1935. After marrying Margaret, they were blessed with a daughter, Arleen Hynd, in July of 1944. Franks career carried them through numerous communities in southern Saskatchewan until his retirement from the force in 1959. Frank then spent 20 years as a fire investigator which complimented his determination and attention to details. In his later years after settling permanently in Regina, Frank and Margaret enjoyed many trips to Arizona, Hawaii and Victoria. He enjoyed music, playing the clarinet with numerous bands throughout the years. He was also an avid biker until age 93. Frank was a devoted family man and cared greatly for those around him. A Memorial Service and interment will be held at RCMP Chapel, 5600 11th Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 10:00 am.
