Obituary of Rose Mary Shinkewski

ROSE MARY SHINKEWSKI November 27, 1936 - May 9, 2013 Rose, late of Regina, SK, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the age of 76 years. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary Lukas; brother George Lukas; and sister Liz Kuyek. Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 51 years, Rudy; daughter Melanie (John) and their children Jonelle and Matthew (Lindsay) Gunderson; and daughter Melinda (Brad) and their children Chloe, Spencer and Ben Duncan. She is also survived by her sister Irene (Clarence) Laycock; brother Mike Lukas; and several nieces and nephews. Rose was a dedicated wife and mom who was devoted to Rudy and their girls. She loved to laugh and share special family times, especially in Waskesiu almost every summer. Many an hour was spent fishing in the boat or on the beach. Her life was further enriched with the arrival of each of her five grandkids. Funeral Mass will be held at Good Samaritan R.C. Church, 425 Broad Street North, Regina, SK on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Peter Nguyen, celebrant. A luncheon will be provided after the service.
