Obituary of Louise Henrietta Fortman

LOUISE HENRIETTA FORTMAN (nee Kosbab) Louise Fortman, late of Regina, SK, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her parents, Emil and Lizzie Kosbab; son, Arnold Fortman, Louise is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold; son, Clint (Vivian) Fortman of Rouleau, SK; grandchildren, Matthew Fortman of Regina, SK and Amanda (Chad) Sylvestre of Rouleau, SK; five great-grandchildren, Kiera, Austin, Hailey and Bree Sylvestre of Rouleau, SK and Jericho X of Regina, SK; sister, Millie Heinen of St. Cloud, Minnesota; brother, Ray Kosbab of Phoenix, Arizona; sister-in-law, Margaret Fortman of Moose Jaw, SK.; several nieces and nephews. Louise was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on June 29, 1927 and immigrated to Canada in 1949 where she met and married Harold. They lived in Moose Jaw, SK until 1954 when they moved to Regina where they resided until her passing. Louise loved cats and was a lifetime member of the Regina Humane Society. She enjoyed crocheting and country music but her family and her home were her greatest joys. For the past four years, Louise was a resident of Parkside Extendicare in Regina and the family would like to thank all the staff for their gentleness, patience and kindness shown to her. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined.
