Obituary of Mary Ann Kerr

Mary Ann Kerr, late of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the age of 74 years. She is predeceased by her parents William and Mary Buhnai and her brother Tony Buhnai. Mary Ann is survived by her loving partner of 29 years Hugh Jowsey of Calgary, AB; her daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Leagh Harfield of Calgary, AB; their 2 sons and her grandchildren Benjamin and James; her brother Nick and sister-in-law Carol Buhnai of Regina, SK; her brother Bill and sister-in-law Loretta Buhnai of Regina SK; her sister Elaine Buhnai of North Battleford, SK; her sister-in-law Anita Kosar of Regina, SK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and very dear friends. Mary Ann grew up in Regina, SK and then went to the University of Denver where she attained her Master's degree in Social Work. She began her career in New York and later moved to California to continue her profession until returning to Regina. In 1999 Mary Ann moved to Calgary to be with Hugh, Stephanie, Leagh, Benjamin and James. Mary Ann was a wonderful grandmother who adored her two grandchildren who were the light of her life. Mary Ann touched the lives of everyone who knew her and she will be dearly missed by us all. Funeral Rite will be held at Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1920 Toronto Street, Regina SK on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
