Obituary of William Robert Pater

WILLIAM ROBERT PATER April 28, 1932 December 28, 2011 William (Bill) of Regina, SK, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by his parents, John and Barbara Pater and his nephew Randy Keen, Bill is survived by his sister Lesia (Gabe) Keen, nephews Kim, Dana (Gail), Darrell and Derek (Kendi), great nephews and nieces, Justin, Robin, Alison, Kole and Kahli. Bill was born in Winnipeg, MB on April 28, 1932. Because his dad worked for the railroad, his childhood was spent in numerous communities across Saskatchewan. Bill went on to work on the railroad himself, spending 39 years working for CP Rail. He made many good friends across the province before retiring to Regina. Bill was an avid coin and stamp collector as well as a hunter and sports fan. He took numerous trips to major league baseball games. He was always interested in what his nephews were involved in, and then his great nephews and nieces. He attended many hockey games and dance recitals!
