Obituary of Denise Hungle

Denise A. Hungle May 15, 1938 - January 12, 2012It is with heavy hearts, that we say good bye to Denise A. Hungle. Denise began her new journey of everlasting life, after a short battle with Cancer on January 12, 2012. She is predeceased by her husband and best friend, Chris E. Hungle, Grandson Devin Christopher Claude, and parents Emile and Hazel Dordu. She leaves behind daughter Debbie Claude, Son-in-law Roland Claude, Granddaughter Danielle Claude (Gary Bachart), canine companion of 11 years - Sandy, special friends Cam and Jean Currie and family, Lue Van Beek, Bell Draper, and many close family and friends who will miss her dearly. Denise was born and grew up in Eastend, Saskatchewan. In 1956, she moved to Regina to take her Lab Technology training at the Grey Nuns Hospital (Pasqua). It was in Regina where she met her soul mate. Chris and Denise were married in 1959 and had their daughter, Debbie, in 1960. Denise and Chris lived in Regina until June 1984, then moved to Buena Vista, Saskatchewan, preferring the small town community. There Denise became very involved in the community and was one of the founding members of the Regina Beach and District Lioness Club in 1985, holding all executive positions throughout her 26 years of dedication and commitment to the club. She was an avid Bridge and Crib player, attending many tournaments around the district. Denise was a member of the Regina Beach Ladies 9 Hole Golf Club, and volunteered at the Senior's clinics, Cultural Club and was a member of the Regina Beach Leisure Time Club. Denise cherished time spent with family and friends, be it on the deck at the lake or the deck of a cruise ship. Family wishes to thank the staff of Unit 3B and the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital for their exceptional care and heart felt compassion during Denise's stay. At Denise's request, a private family internment will be held in Regina Beach on January 17th. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mom's (Gma's) life on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 2-4pm, at the Regina Beach Memorial Hall, 101 Centre St. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations to the Regina Beach and District Lioness Club c/o Pricilla Theriault, Box 51, Regina Beach, S0G 4C0, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of their choice.
