Obituary of Mary Evelyn Strang

Mary, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 after a long courageous and brave battle with cancer.  She was born on a small grain farm near Okotoks, Alberta with only a population of about 5000 people. Her parents were hard working grain farmers and like many farmers in that area, they were not rich but they were warm and kind people. Mary married Robert, whom was an insurance manager.  He was transferred over much of Canada which provided Mary the opportunity to learn more about our great country. One of her favorite places was Ottawa.  She found the people of high calibre and it was there she learned to play bridge very well.  Mary attended the Calgary University and received a teaching degree. She taught for a number of years until her daughter Diane was born and then a son John. Mary made the decision to leave teaching so she could become a full time mom. As per Mary’s request, there will be no Funeral Service.
