Obituary of Irving Lechinsky

 On Thursday, September 13, Irving Lechinsky passed away peacefully at home.  Irving was born to Louis and Luba (Vishnicov) Lechinsky in Truax, SK on March 29, 1929.  He was one half of a set of twin boys, his brother Allan Lechinsky, predeceased him, as well as his other siblings – Mary, Morris, Harry, Francis, and Florence.  He is survived by his sister Rose of Winnipeg.  Throughout Irving’s life, he had an entrepreneurial spirit that led him down many paths - from farming, to Second Lieutenant in the military; small business to real estate and assorted sales.  He always conducted himself and his affairs with integrity, grit, and resolve.  Every new task was conquered by his determination to succeed. With the exception of short work-related instances, Irving spent his entire adult life in Regina where he formed many friendships and a strong affiliation with the Beth Jacob Synagogue.  Irving will be lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret Lechinsky, along with his children of his previous wife, Anne – Daryle (Crystal) Lechinsky and son Stephan, Naomi Lechinsky (Rowesa Gordon), David Lechinsky and daughter Sarah Lowery, Douglas Lechinsky and son Myles. Irving is also survived by his step-children Conor (Lisa) Brown and their children Travis, Shelby and Madison (Jamie), and Siobhan Brown and her children Spencer (Sarah),  and Shayleen Burridge.  A Memorial Service will be held at the Beth Jacob Synagogue at 4715 McTavish Street, Regina, SK, S4S 6H2 at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 – Rabbi Jeremy Parnes presiding.  Donations in memory of Irving may be made to the Beth Jacob Synagogue Discretionary Fund.
