December 31, 1942 - February 11, 2012 Don passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the age of 69. He was predeceased by his parents Adam and Mary Barth. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Gyneth; daughter Doneane (John) Papandreos, son Michael (Claudette) Barth; grandsons J.T.,Stefano, Matthew, Daniel and Nathan; and grandpuppies Niko and Nixon as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was born in Pangman, Saskatchewan on December 31, 1942. He farmed until he moved to Regina and married his sweetheart. He worked at Simpsons for 20 years and then with the Saskatchewan Lotteries until retirement. Don was an avid Montreal Canadians and Saskatchewan Roughrider fan. He loved to curl and play a good game of cards. He also loved camping and coffee time with "the boys". His favorite passion was watching his grandsons participate in their activities which included dance, football, soccer and band. He always watched with a twinkle in his eye. He was such a loving and giving husband and the most amazing Dad and Grandpa or, better known to his grandsons as 'G' Pa. Don will be missed by his family and friends but leaves us with so many wonderful and special memories. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Christ the King Church, 3239 Garnet Street, with Rev. Ken Koep presiding. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
