Lawrence Chia, born May 13, 1931 in Singapore, passed away peacefully in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:20 p.m. He was 87 years old. Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife, Marion and their three daughters: Kristina Lee (children, Nicholas and Alison), Angeline Chia (husband, Philippe Mather) and Jessica Orr (children, Chase and Ashley). Lawrence was a friendly, kind, and gentle soul. He enjoyed reading, playing chess and tennis, and was fortunate to have travelled widely. His happiest moments were spent on vacation with his family, whom he loved dearly, on a special island he held dear to his heart. Lawrie/Dad, you will always be loved and cherished. Till we meet again. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lawrence may be made to Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
